How to ensure you lose

Step 1: Refuse to address the issues of peaceful protesters.
Step 2: Show no mercy with violent crackdowns as well as economic and social blacklisting that will leave people destitute that won't end even if the people disperse.
Step 3: Cower in terror as a previously nonviolent group of people that were peacefully protesting who now have nothing to lose commit fully to the destruction of your regime and all of your supporters, showing no quarter to any of you.
Step 4: Die and become the next history book despot that is looked upon with scorn and hatred and mocked for looking stupid.

Not going to happen. While the convoy could cause a lot of destruction if they wanted to, they don't have the might to topple a G7 state and even if they did Biden would intervene. And without a manageable goal, I don't see movement going for destruction for destruction's sake. Far better to take the L on this movement and just keep finding ways to make the government look bad in the future.

Not that voting in the Tories will magically fix Canada, but ultimately Canada has always been just chasing whatever ideology is the flavour of the month in the world and right now that's this weird woke neoliberal corporatist globalism with a side of technocracy. We need to find a new paradigm – until we do, the best we can do is recognize the current one as a failure.
