For real though. I can understand for Tiktok, it's their platform and they designed it specifically for this.

But YouTube short are literally regular YouTube video, limited in time, with that ungodly vertical phone ratio, and you can't even control the timeline for some reason. It's a strict downgrade of everything the format already had, but they want to convince every content creator to spam these for some fucking reason.

I cannot believe people not completely with their head up their analytics' ass can genuinely say it's an improvement anywhere. It's a complete mystery for me, and I'm not even that old.
