New here. This was my tribute to the Night King. | /r/FreeFolk

May 21, 2019 ( The Night King was by far the most complex characters of Game of Thrones. No dialogue, no emotions, no moments of weakness, no behavioral contradictions. In a setting where every man and woman was driven by personal desires of wealth, lust, power, or revenge the Night King was the only one above all these. Afterall, these are all human characteristics and he was the undead. Yet, despite this there was something about his character which made him uniquely human: his sense of purpose, his perseverance through the years, his resilience in the face of setbacks, his ability to raise a nation from the dead, his almost magical control over his followers, his ruthlessness to sacrifice anything and everything season after season to serve the millions watching. Yes, you read that right, his was the only character who's plot line actually transcended the show's story to serve us all. While we all fanticized about who would end up on the Iron Throne, it was the Night King who slaved away, without a word, without expectation of a reward, with a maniacal devotion to serve his purpose, made clear only after the end of the season: he was trying to prevent this s----- ending all along! To the Night King, first of his name and kind, the original Northerner, Lord protector of broken hearts and overly invested fans, guardian of GRR Martin's true realm, the Hero we deserved, betrayed by two little s---- with a script. The real MVP. Forever in our hearts. #LestweForget
