![About Claude's mysterious comment about his name in Cindered Shadows -As many of you have guessed, Claude is a false name. His real name is Khalid. We wanted to reveal this at some point but we never got the chance to...and here we are. In the game we had originally planned a scene for Nader to call his real name but it never really worked out so the plan was scrapped. Why was the name "Claude" used? (there was a character with the same name in Genealogy of the Holy War) -That criticism was pointed out by Higuchi but since in this game “Claude" was an alias anyways, we weren't worried about overlaps, plus originally we were going to reveal his real name in the game... [but that was scrapped]. But you know, we have had instances like with Gray and Kamui etc before so we thought it was okay. His (Claude's) real name is Khalid! In Claude's support with Byleth, he mentioned that he was a f---end in the royal family(*in JP, in the Eng version he only said he had "royal connections there too, insignificant as they may be" (the meaning is the same but in JP it's a noun so different nuance"), does this mean that he has brothers in Almyra? Kusakihara: Most likely yes. He would have had lots of half-siblings and being picked on/bullied by everyone around him would be his starting point.
