Related Explainer: What's The Ship Being Spammed In Twitter Replies? The 'HMS Undaunted' And The Confusing Trend Explained

About

The HMS Undaunted refers to a British Royal Navy ship built in 1807. Notably, it took former French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte to exile on Elba in 1815. In early 2025, a picture of the boat (a painting by Thomas Whitcombe) was spammed in Twitter / X replies often paired with the catchphrase, "All aboard!" The trend was started by X user @GodfreyGGolden, a parody account pretending to be Gleeks Candidate Godfrey G. Golden. The trend gained significant spread after X user @ChiefofIsaac became the subject of HMS Undaunted spam replies left under a video he posted of an opossum eating Fruit Loops breakfast cereal.

Origin
