20 r/AmltheAsshole 23m AITA for the comments I made about my daughter's tattoos? Hello, I have a heavily tattooed daughter. She is 23 and started getting tattooed at 18 and she just finished her leg a few months ago, which she is proud of. I live in Australia and want her to come visit me in January. I told her I would pay the other half of her ticket once she buys it. She told me she can't find anything less than $2000 right now, and that with everything being so expensive she isn't sure if she can afford it. I told her to stop getting tattoos and save some money, so maybe she would be able to afford it. She said I don't understand her or the cost of living at all. And then she dropped a bomb on me telling me that she's trying to get out of her abusive relationship that I didn't even know was abusive, and has to pay $6000 to break the lease so she is trying to save for that. I told her to not even bother coming then if she needs to save for it and that she can come visit another time, and that she shouldn't have been getting tattooed while she was younger because then maybe she would save some money. AITA?
