The next episode is titled "The Unburnt" and we see that Aegon survived the dragonfire, with no scars (hence the title of the episode), and that is why Aemond was trying to kill him. • Aegon is mad at Helaena in his grief and during an argument he states that she was not even Jaehaerys' real mother, they just had to keep up appearances, a dialogue in a scene prior implies it is actually Aemond.
