"She's neuroatypical, so you want to find ways to play her emotional life that feel true to the character," Taylor says. "We came up with this idea that we wouldn't so much dramatize her anguish in the room, but we would heighten the way she flees from it. We created a moment where she's going into a fugue state, then she snaps out of it and goes to save her other child and flees. She doesn't really know if she's being pursued or not. She's basically running like a child from danger and running to Mommy." 1 minute left in chapter 41%
