Take in mind that this is their reply to a poll from the Consumerist, a consumer affairs blog. Through this it’s quite obvious that the “Worst Company” in their poll is decided by the company with the worst or most infamous consumer treatment as voted by consumers.
Events like oil spills don’t fall within consumer treatment, and therefore are not something that decide the outcome of that poll. A pretty flawed argument from Moore right there.
