We all have dark souls. These are the endless trials that we must face over and over again. Around every corner there is a new fear, a revisited anxiety, amplified by the weight of dread in every aching footstep. In the labyrinth of corridors we stumble upon reminders of previous failures, often wondering if there is some sick habit beneath our skin that brings us back to these terrible places. There are obstacles we see ahead but cannot yet or dare not yet engage, and we try to avoid the inevitable encounter with these overbearing demons that wait for us. But no matter how many other paths we take, we still know that they wait in the dark, and they wait for us. And we will come to them. Every time we think that we are safe, perhaps at rest or in the warmth of light and quiet, we remember that we are surrounded and that our problems never go away. So whenever we are ready to leave the calm, to tread again into agony, we must leave the light behind and crawl back through the dark, slowly, carefully, eager for the next time we see the light. Until then we rely on other hints and flickers of souls who must also endure these trials alone, only offering a few cryptic words of the devastation ahead. Once in a while we feel their presence nearby, while at the same time an eternity away. This, and the occasional tease of sunlight are the only hopes that keep us navigating through oblivion. We know that this isn't a game, but, that deep down, it is the most rewarding challenge, the closest thing to alive we have ever felt. If we abide by the rules we prevail, but it we falter, or doubt, even just once, we will die. There is no escape from this hell besides one's own perseverance, one's determination to descend into the darkest dark, to find and traverse the only real light that has ever existed. wwM.BEVTA TAR We all have dark souls, but are we ready to confront them yet?
