How do I know what is a "good corner" to fish in? This is hard to explain so I will use multiple examples to show you what kind of place you will be looking for: Route 8 Shalour City Here are a few example of locations that people have been known to find shinies. A common factor in a lot of the locations is that they are in a corner often surrounded by rocks (or in other cases sand, grass and a bridge have surrounded the water patch. Yes. As long as you get an encounter the chain continues. If I get a shiny does the chain continue once I catch it? No. Once you encounter and catch a shiny the chain ends. What is the average chain for a shiny? Unknown. Some people get a shiny after 8 fish, some don't get a shiny after 100+ fish.
