As a recent college graduate, I can safely say this kind of stuff is true. Too many times I'd be working on a paper or something and then distract myself for a long while on some random crap. Oh sure I still finished my work on time, but instead of only taking like an hour or two I'd be more like 15 minutes of work, 2 hours of watching cute animals on YouTube, and then repeat for the rest of the day.
