Picture this: A parent looks through Kotaku to see what games their child would like for their birthday, or Christmas, or something in a similar fashion. Then, they see Gone Home. It's got a perfect score, and they see other places also have this same score. All these other children are getting Mario and Halo, and any other popular game they talk to one another about and have fun playing Then you have the child that got Gone Home as a gift. That is a horribly depressing thing to think about. The child that got Gone Home only got this because their parents were tricked into thinking it'd be a great game, something with a great story that supposedly pushes the boundaries on things and gets you to think. What kid wants Gone Home? What journalist would ever do such a thing, to allow such a biased opinion into thinking that Gone Home deserves such praise? And think about all these other reviews and articles that sway people into thinking one way or the other, keeping it all biased to the journalist that's writing it Please, we need to get rid of these people and replace them with proper journalists. The people in charge are only posing as journalists These people are no journalists, they're bloggers

I make sure I tell people to never go on Kotaku or IGN for game reviews. I always tell them to check steam reviews and third party criticism (TotalBiscuit, indie games by OMFGcata, aka Jesse Cox, hell I'd even say DSP has more journalistic integrity than these fucks). I'm a communist when it comes to game reviews: The proletariat (gamers) is right! The proletariat must always be right!
