In real life, Eggman was created as a caricature of Teddy, while Sonic'spersonality was based off of Bill Clinton's. The entire series IS merely a presidential race; the Democratic Sonic wishes to liberate àll from big corporations, while the Republican Eggman creates mindless Badnik followers to vote for him.
