In an interview with German language website NTower, Junichi Masuda has revealed that even though Pokémon X and Y will be compatible with Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X and Y will not receive a software patch for the new Mega Evolutions, nor for Primal Groudon and Kyogre.

just means i'm gonna have to take about 2-3 hours trading all my items from X to the new game.
