I know you're joking, but it's called "CryEngine" because the engine was made by Crytek, and they kinda like to put one half of their company name in the things they make (with some exceptions of course). CryEngine, Far Cry (only the first one though, later games are made by Ubisoft Montreal and run on the Dunia Engine), and Crysis are three things of theirs that did that. Both CryEngine 3 and the newest CryEngine (which is not numbered) work on the Wii U (Crytek themselves confirmed this, even saying they tested Crysis 3 on the system and got graphics better than the 360 and PS3), but for the time being CryEngine is not an engine commonly used by many other companies besides Crytek. Most companies tend to use use Unreal Engine (heck even Nintendo is publishing an Unreal Engine 3 game coming out next year, Devil's Third) because apparently it's super easy to scale it on most platforms.

They did avoid putting their name is Ryse, but the way "Ryse" is spelled makes me think they REALLY wanted to sneak "cry" in there somewhere.
