To anyone whose never seen Ghost Stories: the show bombed in Japan and was considered very mediocre as a horror anime, so when ADV got the English dub rights the original Japanese company said to just do whatever with it, so ADV turned into a self aware comedy that's more like "an official Abridged series," and it's all the better for it. The dub is hilarious, and well worth watching.

(as a side note: ADV went out of business a few years ago so the rights to the English dub were transferred to Discotek Media)

Offical abridge like these should exist more. turn shit anime into comedy.
