If you HONESTLY want piraters to buy your software, then don't be a dick. that's it. of course, people will still pirate software anyway, for various reasons.

some are poor and can't spend cash like crazy. some are in other countries that don't sell those games. some just don't want to support a publisher because most if not ALL publishers are pretty damned shady, yet they wish to play a developer's game anyway.

some just pirate because they don't want to spend money. that does not make them entitled. that makes them cheap.

No, entitled would be you if you were in a developer's or publisher's shoes, thinking that people MUST buy your game or software, deal with the heavy always online DRM or the general bullshit involved with playing these games under heavy control from the publishers to secure money.

people don't like that. but they like the game. so, they will torrent and crack all they like.

business is not enslavement of the consumer. business is a transaction. if your customer does not like your terms and can find better ones for a lower price, they will take that chance.

Compete and adapt or die. that is business.

Pirates will crack and torrent and there’s nothing short of human rights infringement that will change that.

so, adapt and be kind or stay mad and go bankrupt as a business.

those are your choices. The consumer will not be controlled by a company.
