Based Cr1tikal laying down some facts once again. I've been thinking about this ever since he made that first video talking about potential alternatives, but I think I'll have to agree with him. There's just no way to create a content network that even approaches the capacity of Youtube and make a profit without requiring a subscription based service, or fucking over your users in every way imaginable. The only reason other platforms can actually be sucessful is by running a shit-ton of ads, offering premium features and generally focusing on providing certain features that Youtube doesn't offer. That means staying highly specialised and focusing on certain genres of content however.
