Origin
The earliest reports of being tagged in the Facebook survey meme date back to early 2008, but it only began to pick up momentum in late 2008 and burgeoned into a full-fledged meme in 2009. In early February, an estimated 5 million of these "25 Things about Me" notes reportedly appeared on Facebook in the span of a week.
