[to be updated; this entry's open for editorship request!]

Sometime in November of 2009, a mysterious man wearing a beige sweater began showing up in the background of UK's various live news reports. The first known instance of this was during an anti-BNP protest outside the BBC TV Centre. During the event, he was seen on-camera ten times, on both BBC and Sky News. Only a few weeks later, he was spotted again during a BBC field report on a fire in Peckham. His antics were featured on the BBC 3 show Russell Howard's Good News.

In May of 2010, after an apparent hiatus, he resurfaced during various reports on the UK's general election, including BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky News. In the weeks that followed, he was spotted in dozens of other reports, making his way into BBC1's one o'clock news several days in a row. He has been spotted several times since then, most recently on December 2nd, 2010, at Victoria Station in London during a Sky News report.

Identity Revealed

On July 21st, 2010, FidgetWith revealed the identity of the man after receiving a tip from an anonymous source. His name is Paul Yarrow, a resident and volunteer worker from South London. Yarrow is also a writer for a town blog, The Peoples Republic of Southwark. In one of his entries, he writes about the Anti-BNP protest, which happens to be the first event he was spotted on camera at.

Return of Paul Yarrow

After months of hiatus from the TV screen, Paul Yarrow made his comeback on the evening of December 2nd, 2010, during a BBC news report on the recent snowstorm that has wreaked havoc's on the road and rails across the country.
