Origins
Barely Political was founded by Ben Relles in 2007 [2], and the first video uploaded was the famous Obama Girl video. The video was an instant hit, gaining attention from the Obamas themselves.
Key of Awesome
The Key of Awesome are a series of song parodies that started with the “Heavy Metal Cats” song. The series’ greatest hit was the Ke$ha Tik Tok parody, garnering 50 million views in a year and becoming one of the top 10 viewed videos of 2010 [3].
