The Snuggie is a blanket with sleeves that was originally advertised on television but has since been widely ridiculed on the internet.
According to the original infomercial, blankets are simply unsatisfactory. Normal blankets can 'slip and slide' and trap your hands, preventing you from reaching for your remote or having a snack while you are sitting and watching tv on the couch. The Snuggie overcomes these problems with the addition of the nifty sleeves. The Snuggie is basically a bathrobe worn backwards.
The ridiculous nature of the Snuggie and the hilarious infomercial have lifted the Snuggie to cult status, spawning numerous parodies and spoofs. There are now thousands of videos, of varying quality, making fun of the infamous blanket.

Different internet sites have also been created to cater for the needs of Snuggie wearers, including the Snuggie Sutra site which advises people on the best sexual positions when wearing a Snuggie, and also Snuggiebook" which is a social networking site for Snuggie lovers.
It should be noted that while the Snuggie is the most popular blanket with sleeves, there are also alternative brands including the Slanket and the Freedom Blanket as reviewed by Gizmodo.
