In a nutshell, this is Arnold Schwarzenegger saying "Stop whining" in a stern voice. He says it on both Kindergarten Cop and Junior. I have heard this more than enough on Xbox Live, forums and YouTube.

Here is the original clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL1lfSzgcAw

The term "stop whining" is an obvious phrase but Arnold Schwarzenegger gave it a sound, a voice for these words to be spoken in. The phrase is said quickly and angrily. But even without the sound, the phrase is on pictures of Arnold and other people and the phrase has been on numerous soundboards and YouTube videos.

In 1990 the movie Kindergarten Cop was released and featured Arnold Schwarzenegger as Detective John Kimble. There was one line in this movie that stuck out from the rest and this was "stop whining".
Schwarzenegger then used this same line again in the 1994 movie Junior, which added to the lines popularity. It wasn't until 2009 that the phrase exploded with people quote Arnold's line on forums, YouTube, GIF's, pictures and so on.

It's not so much Arnold's line that made it popular, it was the way he said it. His low dramatic shout created many memorable lines from movies such as Predator. In Predator it was Schwarzenegger's shout of "GET TO THE CHOPPER!" which turned it into a mini meme and the same has happened with "stop whining".

The term "stop whining" is applicable in many situations, which turns it into a staple for the common photo-commenter.

When the phrase "Stop Whining" is searched in a popular search engine such as Google, the first result is this exact sound clip.

Recently I was contemplating whether or not "Stop Whining" really was a meme. But that very same day I had noticed it at least 3 times. The first time was while playing Team Fortress 2, I was complaining as some players were spawnkilling and one responded with "Stop whining" in Arnie's voice. The second time was on a forum and the third time was on Facebook. This led me to believe that "Stop Whining" really has become a meme and decided to create this page.
