Yo Gabba Gabba

Yo Gabba Gabba is a children's show on Nick Jr. that started in 2007, and is still running. The show centers around a magical land (called Gabba Land) and it's five inhabitants: Muno, (he's tall and friendly), Foofa, the (she's pink and happy), Brobee, (the little green one), Toodee (she likes to have to have fun) and Plex (a magic robot). They each have their own realms: Muno lives in a cave, Foofa lives in a field of flowers, Brobee lives in a forest, and Toodee lives on a frozen lake. Plex does not have his own realm, but he lives in a secret trap door where he keeps his robotic equipment. They are watched over by DJ Lance, a magical, funky fresh guy with a boombox and dancing skills. The show revolves around music, dancing, and singing, but is mainly a standard benign children's show. However, it has gained a cult following for it's bizarre imagery, unintentional humour, unusually catchy songs, out of place musical guests such as The Shins, Sugarland, Hot Hot Heat, Devo, and My Chemical Romance. Mark Mothersbaugh and Biz Markie have regular appearances, and other non musical guests, such as Jack Black, Tony Hawk, and Elijah Wood. The majority of it's fans are college students, and the characters of the show even appeared at the 2010 Coachella music festival, a popular destination for college students. The meme has yet to really break out, though there are several YouTube Poops and video parodies floating around the internet.
