Origin
Trogdor, also known as “Trogdor the Burninator”, first appeared in episode 58 of the “Strong Bad e-mail” show on the website HomestarRunner.com[1]. Originally airing on January 13, 2003[2], the episode showed Strong Bad demonstrating how to draw a dragon. After an initial failed attempt, Strong Bad managed to create a dragon he was very pleased with, and Trogdor the Burninator was born.
At the end of the episode (starting at 2:32 in the video below), a heavy metal-style music video about Trogdor plays. After moderate popularity of the episode, Trogdor has become a popular in-joke among Strong Bad fans.
Spread
Trogdor has been photoshopped into numerous images, often themed around destruction and “burnination” caused by Trogdor.
Also popular among fans was the Trogdor theme song.
In fact, the song was so popular that it was included in the video game Guitar Hero 2.
The creators of Homestar Runner and Strong Bad recognized Trogdor’s popularity and created two Trogdor-themed games[3].

In order to confirm Trogdor you must first, dress like a peasant, smell like a peasant, and be On Fire like a peasant.

Confirm. It’s not very big anymore, but it was one of the first internet memes I was exposed to, before I even knew what a meme was.
