To reiterate what I said on the main article, the fact that Gawker is so obsessed with blaming Peter Thiel for their demise is hilarious to me, because all Thiel did was pay Hogan's court fees, and there is no evidence that he influenced the judge or jury in any way. Essentially what he did was the equivalent of other people crowdfunding someones court fees, he just skipped the 'crowd'

Gawker is just harping on this point because they are so desperate to make themselves look like the good guys that the only recourse they have is to go the "Mean ol' Billionaire" route.
