Eh, it could work. AJ's problem has always been that she's difficult to write for. She basically doesn't have anything she really wants and is comfortable with her lot in life, as well as being arguably the most stable, adult member of the Main Six.

That makes her a great supporting character, but her individual episodes are understandably lacking. They either have to manufacture a problem that comes off as contrived or change her character so that it doesn't ring true.

Changing AJ so that she's a "bad girl" solves both problems.

The issue is that she'll be AJ in name only. In fact, it seems like the Main Six will all be In Name Only. If that's the case, why not just create a new cast entirely? Go with a completely fresh slate there. It'd even open up possibilities of cameos from FiM Main Six.

I can't say I like the idea of pegasus wings on the hooves, though. That seems a rather silly and stupid redesign.
