I'm not sure what your point is. It says "do something," not "perform miracles."
Every time this shit happens, we just sit on our asses and argue over what needs to be fixed. Personally, I think there are valid reasons for both controlling guns (to a limit, of course) and providing the mentally-ill with proper medical care, as well as putting up barriers so such individuals can't get guns in the first place.
Yet, despite each side saying "no, our solution is the correct one," nobody does a damn thing. Gun legislation is almost always shot down (no pun intended), typically by Republicans, and the proposals concerning those with mental illness (which, coincidentally, are typically from Republicans) never get followed up on. And, to be fair, Democrats need to step up as well; they need to do way better during elections if they even want a chance at getting their proposals through congress.
I know I'm railing more on Reps, but once again, I honestly think both sides have good solutions that would be even better in-tandem β but those solutions are utter shit unless they actually get passed in the first place.
