During Doomslayer's rampage, he found out that the Demons of Hell were having a civil war of their own, one side supporting Doomslayer. After the war ended in his favor, the leader of his side, Lucia, had perished in battle, leaving her half-human daughter behind. Thus, Doomslayer adopted her.
