Pizza - we wuz kangs

I'm not doubting your experience, but still, the idea that some business might made bad pizza sounds so strange to me.
I've had meh pizza, but i've never had bad pizza. I struggle to think how someone, let alone a food chain, can fuck up a pizza.

Is it the dough? The cheese? Bad sauce?
