Ok so what I read from the blurred text, since I zoomed in, is that a new possible anti-GG tactic, which is called the Redemption Narrative tactic, where it âseeks to draw #GamerGate under the influence of the oppositionâs ideas and simultaneously discredit it by both connecting harassment/threat behaviors and magnifying them out of proportion.â
He said there were early signs of this when âprominent opposition voices grudgingly acknowledged the policing GGers were doing against harassment.â
And then he says itâs bad.
Why?
Because it âblows actual harassment out of proportion AND places it under our roof!â
Basically, they amplify our policing of ourselves over things mundane, like tone policing, and make it seem like we are policing loads of harassment in GG.
Which means, if I understand it, they are trying to imply that MOST pro-GG members have been doing âharassmentâ this entire time and only SOME âgoodâ pro-GG members tried to keep it under control from the âmany trollsâ, as in implying that it is the majority of pro-GG members, that were supposedly there since the beginning.
Thus saying that GamerGate was started by trolls this entire time and saying that JUST NOW good members took control or are trying to, discrediting the entire thing.
The postâs overall message is stay focused and expect this tactic used in coming articles or arguments.
âDO NOT ACCEPT BLAME FOR THINGS YOU DID NOT DO!â
