Kanye West has done it again. After delaying his album Jesus Is King several times, fans of the rapper and producer felt confident that they would finally hear his new music after he tweeted last week that it was set to arrive on October 25th.

He even went so far as appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to confirm that the album would be arriving at midnight.

Except it didn't, and Twitter became the place where Kanye fans could let off some steam for being tricked yet again into believing Jesus is King would arrive. After falling for Kim Kardashian's tweet that claimed her husband's album would arrive in late September, fans just simply had enough, and began flooding timelines with memes making fun of themselves, and Kanye, for failing to live up to his promises.

It was almost as if Complex knew Kanye was going to let everyone down, because they had some of the best memes ready to go at midnight.

Despite Jesus Is Kingbeing noticeably absent from every streaming service last night, fans in downtown New York City caught the rapper practicing a performance at the Oculus near the World Trade Center.

At around 1:18 AM, Kanye finally updated the world on the status of his missing album.

Although no one really believes him anymore.

Perhaps it is time to call this album the Fi-YE Festival instead.

Update: as of 12:13 PM, Kanye released the album. It appears all of your memes worked.
