The Christian Girl Autumn Women Respond Gracefully to Their Meme
Emily Gemma and Caitlin Covington will now be forever known as the iconic Christian Girl Autumn women thanks to one 19-year-old Twitter jokester named Giovanni. Although there were many mean-spirited jokes made at their expense, the two have been able to clear things up on Twitter and laugh it off.
According to Buzzfeed News, the college teen responsible for the original post wanted to add his own twist to the Hot Girl Summer trend and did a quick google image search for "cute church outfits."

Luckily, he found a picture of Emily Gemma and Caitlin Covington, two internet-savvy influencers able to defend themselves and gracefully answer Twitter questions. According to Covington, the picture is from a blogging trip three years ago where they mainly took a series of fall photos. Both girls agree now that the outfits are outdated and directed users to their respective blogs Southern Curls and Pearls and The Sweetest Thing for examples of their current style. Though, outfits were the subject of the photo's least offensive comments.
Though some might have taken serious offense to these Twitter comments Emily Gemma told BuzzFeed “I’m white and Christian but none of the tweets were accurate. I laughed at all of it but…none of it’s true. We don’t ever want to speak to the manager!” They went on to specifically answer questions about their views on Twitter.
