When Nike announced an ad campaign with Colin Kaepernick, some of the former NFL quarterback's more extreme quarterbacks took to mutilating their Nike products. The rest of the world saw the potential for memes. Nike's Kaepernick ad features the quarterback in closeup with the words "Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything" over him.

The image was a quick hit as an exploitable, and soon dozens of edits spread online featuring people characters from all sorts of media. Here are some of our favorites.
