#FreeTegan

#FreeTegan refers to an online humorous campaign which stemmed from the Britain Bites Back page.

A user called "Tegan" was an admin on the page but was stripped from her administration duties due to her change from supporting Brexit to opposing Brexit.

Followers of the page humorously commented on some of the posts saying "TEGAN!!!!!!!" in reference to a page moderator who told Tegan off for allowing the poll to go in the direction against their favour.

Reaction

Metro.com[1], the Evening Standard[2], the Independent[3] and the Poke[4] wrote articles on the page. They interviewed the page admin who said that he regretted starting the poll which gained a considerable amount of votes.

A Digital Spy forum was also created in the wake of the poll gaining media attention.[5]
