Redid my kitchen countertops with brown paper bags to make it look like leather. Used a little glue mixture with water and little paint. Soaked the bag pieces in it crumbled them up a little bit and then laid them a little over each other and patted them down. After drying them a day I painted on the clear polyurethane (food grade) and let them dry for another day. Had it on for over a year now and they still look great. Also if someone is to scared to try this on a counter top you can put it on a beat up coffee table or and old dresser and even do the drawers. It's super easy. I forgot one step, I lightly, very lightly sprinkled gold glitter dust (not glitter) on it before polyurethane it. 1.2K 184 comments 80 shares
