Existense is Pain is a popular internet meme from the Facebook group Rick and Morty Schwiftposting. The meme originally started on the 14th of August 2016 after a user Katherine Walling uploaded a picture of her tattoo to the group with the caption: “I DID A THING”. According to the poster is was made by her boyfriend.

After this post was made, several users immediately took note of the misspelling of the word Existence, as well at the irony that it would be pain to live with such a tattoo.

Eventually the post was taken down which has resulted in a large number of re-posts which have also been taken down.
