Purple Chat was a chat in the community Dank Memes Amino in the app Amino created in June 2017. This chat was famous for all of the random shit that the users posted.

In June 2017 DMA member DxC (Demon x Carnage) created three chats: Green Chat (Lv1-5), Yellow Chat (Lv6-9) and Purple Chat (Lv10-14). So far only one member in DMA has surpassed the Lv15 goal and is now a blue member.
The Purple Chat was quickly flooded with random offensive memes etc and nsfw hentai (which was breaking against the guidelines). Many members were sad they weren't purple and created their own ripoffs.

In July 2017 the chat was spammed with hentai and was therefore disabled.
