About
Urien Epic Win! refers to a viral video on iFunny of Street Fighter V gameplay. The video starts with a sexually suggestive hypothetical with a cosplay picture of Juri Han, with iFunny user Cerebella commenting, then showing gameplay of Urien KO-ing Juri Han.
Origin
On April 4, 2019, Twitter user @KTanLS posted pictures of Street Fighter V DLC concept art for Juri Han submitted to Capcom. [5]

I drew the basebody and did the rough & refined concept for this costume.

Capcom finalized the dlc costume and named the skin "School Uniform." [6]
The skin has received positive feedback from fans and was used for cosplaying purposes.

This particular cosplay [3] would end up on iFunny. The video prefaces with the cosplay quoting '">grabs your cock" what do you do?"', with iFunny user "Cerebella" commenting "Tech her throw and do my Aegis setup". [1] The video then shows gameplay of Juri walking up to a pale, nude Urien, attempts to throw but Urien breaks the throw. The picture "Epic Win!" pops up, Kendrick Lamar's "King's Dead" starts playing, then Urien proceeds to KO Juri with a tech throw setup. Although the original post cannot be found, on June 6, 2019, Cerebella uploaded and pinned the interaction on their profile.[2] The post would receive 8.9k likes in 5 years.
From The Fighting Game Glossary by Infil:
"The act of defending against a throw, usually by pressing the throw input at the same time as your opponent tries to throw you (so, in many modern fighting games, that would be pressing light punch and light kick). If you get the timing right, both characters will get pushed apart to a neutral position and the fight continues. You have to be careful though, since if you try to throw tech every time someone is near you, you could get baited and you might end up just whiffing your own throw, or getting counter hit, if your opponent is clever.
In some games, you might hear this called a "throw break" or a "throw escape". Usually, some form of delayed teching can help make throw defense a little easier. In Street Fighter II, teching was not a thing, but in some versions of the game, pressing throw at the same time as being thrown would "soften" it. The throw would inflict about half of its damage and you would flipout onto your feet instead of being knocked down, so if you hear the term "throw softening", this is what people are referring to." [7]
In this particular video, Street Fighter V utilizes the V-Trigger, a game mechanic that allows characters to access character dependent utilities to gain advantage of the match. Juri activates her V-Trigger I. From the Street Fighter Fandom, her V-Trigger I is called Feng Shui Engine type α. "Juri removes her eye patch, allowing her to chain normals in increasing intensity and Fuharenkyaku no longer requires charging while active. Each use of Fuharenkyaku depletes the V-Trigger timer."
As Juri attempts to grab her opponent, Urien techs the throw and activates his V-Trigger I Aegis Reflector. "Urien creates a rectangular energy barrier either in front or behind his opponent which deals damage if they make contact or reflect a projectile. Urien can call upon up to two barriers. There are three variations of the reflector; a neutral or forward direction produces a reflector far in front of Urien whilst back direction produces a mirror very close to Urien. Holding a downwards direction creates a mirror a little way ahead of Urien but higher up in the air than the other two variants." This tech throw setup requires that after the initial combo Juri does not break Urien's throw. If Juri does not tech the throw, Urien will land his throw and bounce Juri onto the Aegis Reflector. Urien completes the combo with his Critical Art (super special attack): Dominant Crush, which "unleashes a powerful Temporal Thunder and crush his opponent by punching on the ground creating a devastating red violet thunder blast." Spread
This video would be reuploaded and/or referenced to other websites and social media such as Reddit and Youtube. [11] On Sep 26, 2021, Youtube user Bluw88 uploaded the same video, which garnered 121k views as of July 2024. [12]
The quote "Tech her throw and do my aegis setup" would be a memorable quote in the FGC.
Resurgence
In 2024, there has been a resurgence of the meme in different variants, ranging to humorously responding to egirls to gameplay edits of characters with similar movesets compared to Aegis Reflector. [10][13][14][15][16]
Somebody did an Orihime Urien edit in the replies so I had to do it https://t.co/qgboSvoef8 pic.twitter.com/iS1xG3OOoB

Using phrases such as "tech her throw and" and "what would you do?" (including picture of goth egirl) will evoke images of "Epic Win!" from users.
