Words Can Kill by Armando Testa advert showcases pictures conveying a person with a stereotypical name attached to them leaving part of their faces shattered off. The advertisement is meant to portray how these words slowly chip away at the identity of the person, until they are amounted to nothing but the words they have been called.

Origin

The meme came as a parody of the words can kill ad featuring a mixture of races and so /pol/ took to work in photoshopping or Paint editing humorous and/or offensive quotes and words depending on the picture in question which can relate to other memes such as "Le 56%".

Spread

June 1 2018 an anonymous poster on 4chan made a thread with the black person image on /pol/ and so other anons took to editing in funny quotes mainly using photoshop. It's spread to a few sites but it's mainly on 4chan at the moment
