Yusof Taiyoob is a Malaysian businessman who foundded the company Yusof Taiyoob Sdn Bhd in 1988. The company is now Malaysia's leading importer and distributor of dates.

Origin

The commercial became viral when it was uploaded on Youtube in 25 July 2011. The commercial consists of a female whisperring "Yusof Taiyoob" throughout the entire commecial. The commercial was intended to promote the company's different varieties of dates for the month of Ramadhan. Parodies have been made throughout the years, either emitating the narrators' voice or replacing clips of videos with the commercial.
