This morning, it was announced that the K-pop group BTS would perform at the upcoming Grammy awards, leading fans of the South Korean boy band to meme, celebrate and speculate about what the band’s seven members would wear and do at the show as the group trended on Twitter today.

The last time BTS, the group behind viral hits like "Butter" and many more, attended the Grammys in person, the fashion choices of the group members were highly praised by fans online, who call themselves “ARMY,” an acronym for "Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth."

Many pointed out that BTS is arguably more popular and culturally relevant than the Grammys themselves. The band is following the awards show with four sold-out performances in Las Vegas, and the venue in which the Grammys will take place will be used to air a livestream of those concerts a few days later.

Shortly after their Grammy performance was announced, the boys posted a video of themselves eating bibimbap off a plaque Spotify gave them commemorating 1 billion streams of their song “Dynamite.”

Music fans also took a moment to celebrate other acts that would perform at the Grammys or had performed last year, emphasizing, especially, Harry Styles’ and Taylor Swift's outfits over the years. Other acts that will perform at the Grammy Awards on April 3rd include Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Jack Harlow and Lil Nas X.

As the music industry continues to shift towards streaming, and K-Pop continues its ascension, expect more BTS content to hit the web — and if you haven’t yet learned their names or catalog, it’s likely that we all may end up learning them pretty soon.
