Hank and John Green began vlogging in 2007, when they decided to forgo text-based conversation for a year and solely talk to each other through YouTube videos. Six years later, they’ve launched their own platform called Subbable, which allows pay-what-you-want subscriptions for online content.

In 1997, the number for this solitary phone booth located in the California desert spread online, causing dozens of people to call or travel there to pick up the phone. Though the booth itself was removed it 2000, on July 31st, a phone phreak reinstated the number for a new group of callers.
