You see Morty, Memes started one day with a man named Don, and he was a normal man until one day he contracted Meme Aides from the bite of an advice animal, after that day Don found out he was the dankest man alive, and he had gained two powers, the ability to Meme on everyone which spread Meme Aides and to be extremely controversial. Soon Don had converted a enough people to create a website called Know Your Meme, a website dedicated to Don and his Memes, and soon the Dank Memers power spread that it gained a harmful stream of Memetic HIV called Mainstream Memes, Mainstream Memes infected Corporations and their memes killed other memes. This got so bad that Don went into hiding and his followers disbanded, but it is said Don still lives as do his followers and they spread the cancer that is Memes to this day.

And then you find out that historians of the future have no idea what they're talking about when they're talking about memes.
