I made an account to complain about this, so listen up. Or don't, I'm a random guy on the internet, not a cop.

Mabel's not a terrible person, it's not horrible that she has a bunch of crushes, it's not a problem that she's always chipper and silly.

That doesn't mean she's interesting.

That's not to say that she's a bad character, but Dipper is a hell of a lot more palatable over any significant length of time. He's smart, sarcastic, heroic, and the dynamic between Mabel and him often revolves around 'Mabel wants A, Dipper has to sacrifice B so that Mabel can be happy'. And he does that. Repeatedly.

Dipper first and foremost wants to uncover mysteries and discover things and then he also has crushes. Mabel has crushes 100% of the time and then sometimes tags along with Dipper while Dipper does cool shit. When Dipper is studying the mysterious journal he just found, Mabel is chasing some random dude. When Dipper is attempting to crack open the mysterious laptop with vital information, Mabel is chasing some random dude. When Dipper has a chance to hang out with his own crush (in that one episode with the crazy pool guy), Mabel is chasing some random dude… and then forces Dipper to sacrifice his opportunity to be around Wendy so that she can get in good with the aforementioned random dude.
