Rebecca Sugar: But I've already told you, they're genderless aliens!…
C: So? They look like-
Rebecca Sugar: It doesn't matter what they look like, their bodies are just projections. They are sexless rocks from space, they don't conform to human concepts of sex or gender and therefore don't identify as females, and therefore this can't be considered a gay couple.
C: You understand any of it?
N: Not a word. But it sounds reasonable…
C: Well I guess she must be right… Okay, carry on then.
