Even if the art isn't exactly top notch and looks like some kind of advanced MS Paintery (not that I could do much better), I have to admit I don't get why it's supposed to be so horrid.

Sure, Sans is smiling and crying at the same time while being impaled and dunking, but he's never seen without his smile. If anything, it's probably more in character than those hundred "edgy bad time" fanarts.
