If you don't gain the license within the allotted year you must retake the class. .A practical exam with a licensed instructor who will grade you on various skills. Considering that Americas Death-toll by being shot with a Gun by someone who isn't an officer is still about five Times as high as all of Europe combined, maybe someone should do something.
