Deriod, also known as Dihriod or And That's On Deriod, is a viral internet slang term about "men's periods" combining the words "dick" and "periods" to form "Deriod," while also being a version of the slang "period," often used to emphasize a previously mentioned statement. The term was popularized on TikTok in April 2025 as a part of a series of slangs created in a new version of the Sassy Man Apocalypse trend, often adding the term along with clips of American rapper Saucy Santana.

Origin

On March 27th, 2025, TikTok^[1] user @abdoulupnext uploaded a video titled "Dihriod," comically explaining that "guys also have periods during certain times of the month." The video (seen below) received roughly 1.4 million plays and 169,000 likes in two months.

On April 21st, 2025, TikTok^[2] user @waketaylor posted one of the earliest viral mentions of the slang "deriod," adding as a caption to a video in the Sassy Man Apocalypse trend. The post (seen below) amassed over 5.5 million plays and 1 million likes in a week.
